Morris-Turnberry council addressed complaints from many about gravel roads in the town.
Council did say the amount of gravel in the ditches of local roadways isn’t much different than any other spring. Many complaints were received by Deputy Mayor Sharen Zinn about the amount of gravel in ditches and on lawns. The slide slops over the past years has gotten steep to the point property owners can’t cut along the edge of the road.
Mike Alcock, Director of Public Works brought the report forward saying while there are many complaints, the gravel situation isn’t any different than what it was in years prior.
Deputy Mayor Zinn thanked Alcock on his report and acknowledges its a regular complaint every spring about gravel but at the time does not have a solution.
