The OPP held a press conference last night where Commissioner Thomas Carrique revealed additional details about one of the suspects charged for the shooting death Tueday of Constable Greg Pierzchala.
It was revealed the 25 year old male had been previously banned from owning any firearm for life since 2018.
Then three years later, in 2021, he was charged with several fire-arm related offences and assaulting a police officer.
At the time of the shooting the 25-year old was released on bail with a number of conditions including remaining at his home and not possessing a firearm.
