A proposed telecommunication tower in Monkton has gotten support over a public consultation period as discussed during North Perth’s council meeting on Monday.
The tower was first brought up on April 17th which would allow for 3 network carriers to have their equipment on the tower instead of needing multiple towers with separate connections.
Perth County Planner Jerrica Gilbert says among the comments received, Mornington Communications was in favour of the tower.
“Basically they think that it will greatly improve surface capacity in our area for our residents.” said Gilbert.
Council accepted the report and have provided a statement of concurrence in support of the Signum Wireless communications tower in Monkton.
