Mitchell’s Your Neighbourhood Credit Union is currently taking in used skates and helmets as part of the credit unions Motivate 2 Skate program.
Donations given to YNCU branches will be given to elementary students and newcomers to Canada.
Items being accepted until the end of the year include used hockey skates, figure skates and helmets.
Motivate 2 Skate offers free skating lessons for international students in post secondary as well as elementary students in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Donations can be made at the Mitchell YNCU branch.
