The Mitchell Lions Club took to social media recently to recognize area youth Jessie Horan with the Lions Youth Volunteer of the Year Award for 2022.
The Lions say in the post that Jessie played an instrumental role in the rejuvenation of the Mitchell Animal Sanctuary over the past 6 months.
They add that her dedication to cleanliness, organization and the care of the animals shined through every time she was in the barn.
They say that the community is strong with individuals such as Jessie who are dedicated, driven and selfless.
