Progress continues to grow towards the Pride Crosswalk in Minto.
Council approved to have a crosswalk in Harriston at Elora and Young as the next step in fundraising continues for Minto Pride towards the colour palette for the crosswalk.
Minto Pride has been chosen as one of the recipients for proceeds from the Mayor’s Golf Tournament in August.
Rosie Krul, Committee Member for Minto Pride says, in terms of costs for the crosswalk itself, it’s already covered.
“What we’re fundraising for is just the colour palette to paint it for pride. The crosswalk itself is something the town has wanted to add so the town is covering the crosswalk pricing.” said Krul.
Fundraising so far has seen great support with their goal of $7000 which has seen over $3500 so far.
