Federal, provincial and municipal governments all gathered in Harriston for an appreciation dinner for Minto Mayor George Bridge who will be stepping down as mayor at the end of his term.
After three, four year terms as Mayor, Bridge also saw a term served as Wellington County’s Warden.
Alongside being Warden, Bridge was also a chair of the Western Ontario Wardens Caucus Economic Development Committee and elected to the board of directors for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
George Bridge announced in March this year he would not be seeking re-election.
Bridge is the first person in Minto to be elected to a second term.
