Minto Council Reconsidering Beehive Roadside Park Closure

Group to save the park must come up with a plan by September

Minto council is giving more thought into whether or not to sell Beehive roadside park just south of Harriston.

The park is loved by many which caused a local group to call on council and rethink their decision. Council has granted the group until September to come up with a plan to keep the park open.

Minto Mayor George Bridge and Councilor Ron Elliot were the only ones against the reconsideration of the sale of the park.

The park was closed after abuse from travelers which included dumping sewage on the open grounds.
