The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care issued a directive on March 15th that updates the use of facility surveillance testing and access to homes not under outbreak.

In it the Minister confirms that all staff, caregivers, student placements and volunteers should be tested twice per week. 1 with PCR and 1 with the rapid antigen test on separate days.

It also informs that occasional visitors are to be tested on arrival at least once per week.

If they visit on 2 consecutive days the second test is waived.

People who have previously had a confirmed case of Covid-19 are waived from tested unless symptoms or a known exposure to a new case is confirmed.
