Ontario is raising the minimum wage once again from $17.20 to $17.60 an hour as of October 1st.
The increased is based on the Ontario Consumer Price Index of 2.4 per cent to bring Ontario as the second highest provincial rate in Canada.
David Piccini, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development says now more than ever, workers and businesses need fair, balanced and predictable wages.
A worker under the minimum wage working 40 hours per week will see an increase pay of up to $835 with the change.
