Starting October 1st, the provincial minimum wage will jump 50 cents to $15.50 an hour.
The price hike was announced in April.
Students will also see a 50 cent increase in wages from $14.10 to $14.60.
The government also notes students of any age who are employed as homeworkers must be paid the homeworkers minimum wage.
A homeworkers job is written as employees who do paid work in their own home with the 50 cent raise seeing $17.05 an hour now.
The province adds if there will be another increase in October next year, an announcement will be made in April.
