Milverton Oktoberfest Returns After 5 Years

For the first time in five years, Milverton Oktoberfest has returned this weekend.

Oktoberfest kicks off on Saturday at the Perth East Recretion Complex running from 5:30-12am which will be complete with food, drinks and live music coming from a 30 member band from Germany.

Evelyn Mueller, the Co-Chair of Milverton Oktoberfest says this entire event has been around a years worth of planning and working with their neighbours across the pond.

“This is actually the 2nd time a brass band from the Town of Neresheim in Germany is coming to visit us and we’re forming a formal friendship here. It’s pretty exciting a lot of time went into it but it’s all worth it!” said Mueller.

A welcoming reception will kick off Oktoberfest which has been celebrated in Milverton since the 1970s.

Proceeds will be going back into the club with the event run by the Milverton AG Society, Milverton Lions Club and Optimist Club of Mornington.

Mueller says so far they’ve mostly sold out their tickets with few remaining.

Tickets can be purchased here.
