The Milverton Lions and Knollcrest Lodge have broken ground for the courtyard at the long term care home in Perth East.
The Lions say this has been a project they’ve been working on for many years but were hit with delays due to the pandemic.
What was originally pegged at a cost of $120,000 the Lions were able to rally the amount needed but with the delays from the pandemic and rising costs it’s coming with an extra $60,000.
The Lions continue to seek donations to support the courtyard at the care home which will bring a positive impact to the residents and their families to enjoy the outdoors.
The hopes are to have the courtyard completed by the summer.
