After review by over 1300 residents, a plan has been set by St Marys council for both short and long term for Milt Dunnel Field.
Staff had been asked to look into improvements for washrooms, paving for the farmer’s market, repairs to lawn bowling, adding more trees and accessible playground equipment.
The improvements will take be covered by grant funding and will start this fall.
Staff in the long term will look at design plans for the park such as enhanced lighting, more seating, picnic and river viewing areas and an upgraded pavilion.
Long term plans won’t take place until the master plan for the future of the park will be presented to the public for feedback.
