Memorial Park Committee Jumps Into Next Steps of Fundraising

The wheels are very much off the ground for donations and future fundraising efforts for the Memorial Arena Park 59’ Project.

The committee, which works alongside staff consists of volunteers in the community and members of the Recreation Advisory Committee.

The Memorial Park group has ball parked the cost for the project at around $1.4 million.

Up next the committee looks to gain as much ground as they turned to council to approve a recent report for fundraising initiatives in relation the Municipal Fundraising/Donation Policy.

North Perth Mayor Todd Kasenberg, agreeing with the rest of council with the approval says this project will be great to see and grow.

“Our best to the committee as they begin and continue their work. I think a lot of heart is behind this project” said Kasenberg.

The Memorial Park has seen various concept designs over the past year with certain ideas including an arena board sculpture, keeping with the concept of the old arena which use to stand in town.
