In a time where affording to feed yourself and your family continues to face its issues, many locals are doing their part to ensure nobody goes hungry.

Country Style Restaurant, alongside local warriors have been offering a free meal on Thursday nights and the plan is still to continue so with a lasagna meal.

Starting every Wednesday night, “Hope Eats” will launch with the Salvation Army Church and continue every Wednesday for those in need.

The call is also out to support students with other programs including with It Takes a Village and within the schools themselves.

Non-perishable food items are being accepted with It Takes a Village and school programs such as at LDSS with its dry pantry program for kids to bring items home for dinner and food for the weekend.

Food items such as breads for sandwiches, meats for meals, frozen or fresh vegetables and juice boxes are all welcome to be accepted.
