As National Volunteer Week continues and the month wraps up, communities across the area are showing their love for volunteers who work hard to keep their own backyards shining.
Minto Mayor George Bridge says without the dedicated group of volunteers and service clubs, the area would not see the success that it does.
Bridge adds as the surrounding towns population grows, joining clubs and volunteering is core to continued growth.
“As we get more people moving into our community, we need to get them active into these groups because then you get a good feeling of what its all about to be in a small town. We wouldn’t survive without all these groups.” said Bridge.
Bridge encourages everyone in Minto to get involved and volunteer.
