Matthew Rae has won the PC nomination for MPP in Perth-Wellington.
The Harriston born resident took the win over Don Van Galen who also sought the nomination as registered members voted on Saturday.
Rae will look to take over as MPP following Randy Pettapiece who announced his retirement and will not be seeking a fourth term.
Rae has worked alongside both Pettapiece and John Nater who helped them both in their campaigns in recent elections.
Ontarians will head to the polls in June.
