The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance is making masking mandatory in clinical areas at hospital sites.
Hospital medical grade masks will continue to be provided with masking stations set up at the both the Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital.
Masking is required in clinical areas where patient care is provided including in the emergency department, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, imaging, lab and waiting rooms.
Masking is currently recommended but not required in non clinical areas.
Universal masking could be reintroduced based on disease activity, during respiratory season and for outbreak management.
