Mapleton Township recently received $5000 from Enbridge Gas through the company’s Safe Community Project Assist Program, made possible with the help of the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Public Safety Council.
Fire Chief Rick Richardson and Mayor Gregg Davidson were presented the cheque for the funds.
The money will go towards training material costs for National Fire Protection compliance as well as fire prevention and education materials.
