Mapleton Fire/Rescue recently took part in their extrication course earlier this week.
The course which was held June 6th and 7th off the road by the Moorefield station gave firefighters essential hands on training which Fire Chief Rick Richardson says is invaluable as they have seen an increase of car accidents over the past 3-4 years.
Mapleton Fire/Rescue is also sending thanks to those who donated junk vehicles for use for the course.
Richardson adds being able to train hands on and experience better trains the crew when an actual call comes in.
