Mapleton Mayor Gregg Davidson was on site to present a donation of $10,000 to the Minto Mapleton Health Professional Recruitment Committee.
The donation marks Mapleton’s support of local health care recruitment efforts.
The money will go directly to supporting the committee and their efforts of recruiting doctors and other health care professionals to the Minto-Mapleton area.
The past year has shown its challenges for rural hospital staff and physicians as the community continues to experience a high need for health care staff.
The committee hopes continued support from the township will encourage health care professionals to choose the area as a place to live and work.
