Mapleton has been informed they have been denied a federal housing fund.
In August council gave the green light for 11 potential incentives as part of an application to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s Housing Accelerator Fund.
At a meeting on March 19th council was informed they were not selected for the HAF program.
The fund is part of an application program introduced in the 2022 federal budget with a funding allocation of $4 billion until 2026-27.
