As work on the new water tower in Drayton continues, Mapleton council is reconsidering the colour of the water tower.

Following a survey done with residents back in April, the colour scheme was chosen to be a red/orange colour to be followed similar to that of the Mapleton logo colours.

The colour would be placed underneath the top of the water tower.

Public Works Director Sam Mattina says historically the colours chosen after time give the interference of rust formation and urged council to reconsider.

Council agreed to vote and reconsider as progress on the new water tower makes good progress.
