The Township of Mapleton and Wellington County has approved a total of $1 million in funding to support a new seniors living development at Conestoga Crest in Drayton.
This investment from the township will help support the planning and future construction of the 40 unit apartment building expansion for those aged 60+ and help meet the growing need for affordable seniors housing in the community.
$500,000 was given to Conestoga Crest during a meeting to help with planning and preliminary design/engineering costs with the remaining $500,000 be to held in the township’s Affordable Housing Reserve and given to Conestoga Crest upon completion of specific milestones agreed to.
