On Monday September 5th just after 4:30pm, Stratford Police was dispatched to an address on Church Street in regards to a male who attacked the door of a residence with a chainsaw.
While the suspect fled the scene before police arrived, the chainsaw was still stuck to the door who were able to obtain information on the suspect.
The suspect attended the home to confront an individual who he had been having an ongoing dispute with.
The man picked up a chainsaw from the lawn, shattered the window on the door and the cut into the door itself.
Police were able to locate the suspect who resisted arrest causing police to use force to gain control.
No injuries were caused in the incident with the 39 year old charged with Mischief and Resisting Arrest.
The accused will appear in court on October 24th.
