Long term care homes across Perth-Wellington are getting a boost in provincial funding.
MPP Matthew Rae announced $132,898 is being put forward from the Province of Ontario’s Local Priorities Fund.
The funding will be used to assist residents with complex needs such as dementia and bariatric care.
Funding includes $63,174 for Kingsway Lodge Nursing Home, $53,676 for Knollcrest Lodge, $12,650 is set for the Spruce Lodge Home for the Aged with $3398 for Hillside Manor. The fund helps care homes purchase items such as IV equipment, bariactrics equipment bed support, bladder scanners and ECGs.
