Local Women to Attempt World Record in Honour of Matt Ottens

World record attempt planned for August 28th

Six local woman will look to conquer a Guinness World Record this month in honour of Matt Ottens, who lost his life in an incident at Contstogo Lake on June 13th.

New U Personal Training Studio owner Alison Brown has been working to help beat the world record for most chest-to-ground burpees in 12 hours.

Brown had been working with others including Leona Ottens, Matt’s wife for the record earlier this year when tragedy had struck. The challenge will get underway August 28th to try to reach 10,000 burpees in 12 hours.

Alison Brown, Leona Ottens, Ashley Crabb, Katie-Battams-Soemers, Angelika Veens and Corrie Bear will be making the attempt for the record.
