A number of pick-up trucks, farm tractors, and small vehicles drove around the shoreline to protest federal and provincial COVID mandates.

The convoy started outside the Sobey’s store in Kincardine Saturday morning around 10, and proceeded down Highway 21 through to Goderich, then down Highway 8 to Clinton, and up north on Highway 4 where it ended in Wingham.

One of the organizers of the convoy Trevor Sutcliffe says he was pleased with the turnout that they got.

Sutcliffe says they were able to keep the protest as peaceful as possible but recognized that there were a few insensitive flags and signs among the convoy.

There is word about another protest next weekend but Sutcliffe says nothing has been confirmed yet.
