The idea of a Tiny Home is one that is catching in popularity around the world. When it comes to living more with less the idea of a smaller home leaves it much more affordable to most.

This is where Tiny Footprint Homes Limited comes in. The company out of Clinton is a partnership longtime trailer maker Josh Batkin and Carpenter Paul Arts.

Josh says in the area of a demographic for a tiny home it’s pretty wide.

“The demographic is pretty wide right now. We’ve given quotes and pricing for building units for younger couples coming in, older couples, retirees getting ready to retire. Our niche is kind of more broad that for other companies I guess.”

In terms of zoning for building a tiny home, Josh says to check with your local building department to see what is possible.

“In most municipalities that we’ve been speaking with, in particular ours here at home, have been totally receptive of the idea. It’s still a fairly new to everyone still. Everyone is still learning about the process and what we can and cannot do.”
