Local Politicians Offer Condolences to Royal Family

 

Local politicians are offering their condolences following Queen Elizabeth II passing away on Thursday.

In a release, Wellington County Warden Kelly Linton wrote the county joins the world in mourning this great loss.

Perth-Wellington MP John Nater says Queen Elizabeth always had special love and admiration for our country, love which was reciprocated to her by Canadians from coast to coast.

MPP Matt Rae saying there will never be another like her in our lifetime.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada is in mourning for the loss.

“In a complicated world, her steady grace and resolve brought comfort and strength to us all.” said Trudeau. 

Queen Elizabeth was the longest living monarch in British History and 2nd longest history, only behind French King Louis XIV in the 17th century.
