Local companies collect gently used work footwear to offer leg up

LTI believes in supporting the community that supports their workers

Workers who are needing to have safety footwear to enter the workforce received a leg up today from area companies.

A campaign saw gentled used work boots, work shoes and other safety footwear collected and donated to It Takes a Village. Future area workers are now able to pickup a suitable pair if they are required to have them to start employment but aren’t able to purchase them on their own.

Local business Listowel Technology offered up some pairs from their workers who had upgraded their footwear as part of a company program.

Human Resources Manager Neil Anstett at LTI says it’s all a matter of supporting the community that supports their business.

“We like to be good community stewards because at the end of the day because without North Perth we don’t have any associates.”

Anyone in need of footwear can contact It Takes a Village in Listowel to see what is available.
