Local AMDSB secondary student set to take part in School Model Parliament Program

Keira Schaefer will have the opportunity to meet key figures in Ontario’s Parliament, learn first-hand about process and traditions, and take part in a parliamentary simulation.

A local Avon Maitland District School Board student has been selected as a secondary student to participate in the School Model of Parliament program at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

Keira Schaefer will represent the board in the program that brings together students from across the Province.

She will have the opportunity to meet key figures in Ontario’s Parliament, learn first-hand about process and traditions, and take part in a parliamentary simulation.

Her mother Lisa says she started preparing in November virtually and now will spend three days in Toronto.
