The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance issued an advisory today about a change to their Visiting Policy to both sites.
They say to maintain a safe environment for their patients, visitors, staff and physicians effective November 1, 2021 all family, support persons and visitors will be required to show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination before entering a Wingham or Listowel hospital buidling.
This policy is based on guiding principles adopted by all southwest Ontario hospitals they say.
Some exception do exist that would permit the presence of non-vaccinated family & caregivers such as pediatric patients, support person of delivering mothers and family of palliative patients.
They do note these guidelines apply only to family and caregivers, not to patients or those seeking medical treatment. They say do not delay in seeking medical care if needed.
