During Monday’s council meeting, a carried vote has finalized the demolition plan for the Listowel Memorial Arena.
The Council of the Municipality of North Perth has given Waterloo Demolition Inc the rights to tear down the Listowel Memorial Arena following the recommendation from R.J Burnside & Associates LTD.
The tender amount will be $183,350.00 before HST. Council had allocated $240,000.00 in the budget for the demolition.
As for what will be in its place once the demolition is complete is still up in the air. Ideas have been tossed from a community park, outdoor rink to a swimming pool but nothing has been considered official.
