Tuesday’s Summer Concert with Sarah Pratt-Parsamian at the Listowel Memorial Park Amphitheater saw a great turnout.
Similar to last years event alongside the Listowel BIA, the concert took in donations to support a worthy cause which this year was towards the Listowel District Secondary School Music Program.
Lisa Schaefer, Listowel BIA Coordinator says this year, the focus was on the arts and to honour both Lisa and Sarah’s former music teacher.
“I really wanted to focus on the arts and both Sarah and myself both went to LDSS. A teacher (Mr. Rowbotham) who was very instrumental in both of our lives, he was our music teacher. He passed away this year and she thought it would be really nice to honour him.” said Schaefer.
Schaefer adds it would be great to have an event such as the summer concert a the Amphitheater as an annual event.
