The Lion Roy Grant playground has reopened in Mount Forest after weeks of accessibility improvements went into the playground.
Park N Water LTD took part in the upgrades as the sand surface was removed at the park and replaced with five inches of stone laid with a filter cloth on top and wood fibre.
Interim Manager of Recreation Programming and Community Engagement Mandy Jones says work is still needed which includes an accessible parking space and a sidewalk leading into the playground but the work isn’t expected to interfere with use of the playground.
