The community of Drew, just north of Harriston is gearing up for their Light Up Drew event this weekend.
Typically in years past a kids Christmas concert is held and to fill up a pickup truck of non perishable items for the food bank however due to current protocols, the concert is on hold.
This year, riding on the success from the Light Up Drew event last year, it will be held again.
Nicole Hymers says any non perishable donation to the food bank is greatly appreciated but mentions things like hygiene products are on top.
“Anything and all will do. Hygiene products we often forget about those, we usually just do non-perishable food products but they are also in need of hygiene products” said Hymers.
Light Up Drew will kick off Saturday night at 7pm with a drive thru style to come see the lights with donations being accepted to support the food bank.
Lights will remain on in Drew for the rest of the month.
