Liberals to Again Form Minority Government

Liberals to form minority government despite Conservative popular vote

 

The Liberals will again form a minority government.

Justin Trudeau who wasn’t expected to give a speech until noon today was on stage in Montreal speaking just before 1:30am thanking Canadians who voted regardless of their choice of party ensuring their voices were heard.

Trudeau in his speech says he plans to deliver on things such as $10 a day child care, affordable housing for the middle class, continue to fight climate change and more.

“As Canadians, you’ve elected parliamentarians to deliver on all of this and our team, our government is ready. ” said Trudeau.

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh both won their respective riding’s whilst Green party leader Annamie Paul and PPC leader Maxime Bernier failed to secure a seat in their home riding’s.

Despite a liberal minority, the Conservative party won the popular vote.
