The Wingham & District Hospital Foundation has received a grant to fund surgical equipment at the hospital.
An $80,000 grant from the Leland and Thora Vance Fund which is held at the Waterloo Region Community Foundation.
Lee and Thora Vance were longtime residents of Wingham and business owners who were deep-rooted to the community.
The hospital foundation says they are very thankful to have been the beneficiary of several grants from the Vance Found with this donation supporting a new Scope Cabinet for the hospital’s Operating Room.
The foundation adds by investing in this critical upgrade, the Vance Fund is directly supporting surgical services at the hospital and helping to enhance patient care and safety for the whole community.
