The Fred Campbell VC Royal Canadian Legion Branch 134 has pledged $2500 over the next five years towards to the new Mount Forest Outdoor Pool.
The first installment of the pledge was made on Monday acting as a step forward to making the new outdoor pool a reality.
“The generosity of the Fred Campbell VC Legion Branch 134 is greatly appreciated. Their pledge brings us closer to our fundraising goals and the completion of this much-anticipated project. We are deeply grateful for their commitment, not only to this initiative but also to the future of our community,” said Ray Tout, Fundraising Chair for the Mount Forest Aquatics Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee
The new pool will be put on Princess Street beside the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex with a cost of around $5.3 million with a community fundraising goal of $2.5 million which has already reached 80 per cent of its goal.
