North Perth CAO Kris Snell is putting his name forward to the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) as a candidate for the AMO Board of Directors under the Small Urban Caucus.
Snell approached council for their support who brings in over 20 years of experience within the municipal sector.
Snell says having a voice for the AMO from North Perth would be a crucial step forward.
“Considering we’re at a critical time I think in the provincial history just with everything going on with the Planning Act and other provincial regulations and legislative changes I thought it was important North Perth have a voice at the table” said Snell.
Council gave their full support for Snell.
The AMO Board of Directors act as the governing body of the association with 43 elected and non elected municipal reps who help work together to achieve shared goals and meet common challenges.
