It was only recently Kitchener city council allowed residents to have backyard chickens but already they are being visited to expand on it.
A resident has requested council to include backyard ducks. Backyard chickens were approved allowing residents to house them and provide eggs, which is what one resident is arguing – ducks produce more eggs.
The resident also says it’s much easier to care for ducks than chickens.
Council has requested for a report and will discuss at a later date
