A fundraiser this weekend in Drayton is all coming together to rally up support for Kian Van Stee and his battle against Leukemia and honouring Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Dubbed Kian’s Skate for Pogo, everyone is invited for a public skate at the Drayton Arena on Saturday starting at 2pm.
The event is complete with various activities, raffles and treats all while raising funds for children who are battling cancer.
Jordan Van Stee says the support they’ve received so far has been overwhelming.
“The lovely Dale Franklin has donated the Rangers tickets, Blooms on Main has donated some raffle prizes, A La Mode, lots of friends who have wanted to donate. People have been great.” said Van Stee.
All proceeds raised from the event will be donated directly to the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario. Skating is by donation.
