Josh Kiel is taking his talents over to the Mount Forest Patriots.
Kiel has resigned from his position as Director of Hockey Operations from the Mitchell Hawks who will take over as General Manager in Mount Forest with Rob Nixon moving to the Director role.
Kiel served as Mitchell’s general manager in the 2021-22 season which saw the Hawks capture the Pollock Division and shortly after, Kiel moved to the Director of Hockey Ops role, paving the way for Scott Bridge to take the role as general manager.
Bridge says when he first got on board, he learned a lot under Kiel.
“There is a lot of moving parts to that job so there was a lot of mentorship by him to pave the way to do things the right way and help understand how things are run.” said Bridge.
Bridge adds he will serve as the Director of Hockey Ops for the Hawks, but not under the official title, maintaining his role as general manager.
