Perth-Wellington MP John Nater has taken another step in the House of Commons.
Nater has been named as Assistant Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons.
During the election for Speaker, Nater was one of two conservatives who put his name in the hat for the title of Speaker but both pulled out before the vote.
Nater says as he takes on the new responsibilities, his commitment to serving the people of Perth-Wellington remains firm.
