Perth South Deputy Mayor Jim Aitcheson has been acclaimed as Perth County’s warden for a third term.
County councilors took part in the annual election on Thursday. Perth East Mayor Rhonda Ehgoetz was also acclaimed for a third term as deputy warden.
Plenty is planned in Perth County for the future including the adoption of the county’s diversity, equity and anti-racism charter and new fire radio dispatch agreement are among the projects for council to work on.
Municipal elections in Ontario are scheduled to take place in the fall.
