Mitchell ward councilor Jeff Marshall has resigned from his role on council for West Perth due to a conflict of interest with a new job he has started.
Marshall has taken a job doing partnership work with municipalities for the nuclear waste management organization in Teeswater.
Marshall, during his resignation also said he is considering throwing his hat in the race for the Perth-Wellington PC nomination which he adds was another element in his decision to resign his role on council.
Ontario heads to the polls in June with municipal elections being held next October.
