Another former Toronto Blue Jay is joining others after being named to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum in St Marys.
The 2022 list only features Vancouver native, Jeff Francis who was selected 9th overall by the Colorado Rockies in the 2002 draft.
The pitcher posted a strong 2007 season with his career high in wins, starts, innings pitched and strikeouts and earned the honour of the first Canadian pitcher to start in Game 1 of a World Series. Francis joined Toronto in 2014 until his retirement a year later.
Francis will be named alongside the class of 2020 which includes Justin Morneau, former Toronto Blue Jay players, John Olerud and Duane Ward as well play by play caller with the Montreal Expo’s Jacque Doucet.
