The Alzheimer Society of Perth County has rolled out a months worth of events for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
All events and sessions will be done virtually over zoom. Sheri Gilhula from the Alzheimer Society says there’s plenty to see this month.
“On the 19th we’re doing 8 days of dementia which is always a popular topic because it helps shed some light on what people are experiencing. On the 26th in the evening were talking about winter safety and finding your way.” said Gilhula
Gilhula adding the new twist of going virtual allows them to work alongside the Alzheimer’s Societies in neighbouring counties.
“Going virtual has allowed us to partner with our colleagues in Huron and Grey-Bruce, that’s exciting.”
Those without internet access can still attend many of the events hosted this month with a phone in option. The calendar of events can be found here https://alzheimer.ca/perth/en/whats-happening/calendar-events
